Important Events  
     
 
  • On 27th March 1983 KCAA was formed by prof.S.Selvaraj, the principal of Kamaraj college.
  • ON 15th July 1983 the birthday of our great leader K.Kamaraj was celebrated as a first event.
  • On 2nd October 1991 KCAA contributed Rs.25000 to our management at the time of silver jubilee.
  • We encouraged Miss. Ezhilarasi by presenting a gold ring and cash award for participating in the Asian football team on 27-12-98. on the same day we also recognized the success of the gold medalist Mr. Muthukumar in economics.
  • Essay, elocution and poetry competitions are conducted then and there for the school and college students.
  • We motivate the village youths by conducting various sports and games through out NSS camps.
  • We extend financial assistance to the students who are good in sports under the guidance of physical Director.
  • We help the poor students even by meeting their hostel expenses.
  • At the expense of Rs.10000 we constructed the volleyball ground.
  • Some times we also arranged fans, cupboard etc. to various departments of the college.

Felicitation to Prof.S.Selvaraj

  •  On 30th  May 1993 we had the golden opportunity of felicitating prof.S.Selvaraj the then principal of Kamaraj college for being selected as the best principal.

Public Address System

  •   On 22nd ,September 2002 the public  Address system for an amount of 85,000 was presented to the college

Free eye treatment camp

  • On 23rd March 2003 a free eye treatment camp was conducted.400 persons were benefited. We also arranged eye operation facilities for 120 patients. Free medicines and spectacles were also given.

Kamaraj Statue

  •  For erecting the statue of the great leader K.Kamaraj we contributed Rs. 25000.

Blood donation camp

  •  On 2-10-2003 Blood donation camp was conducted on behalf of Kamaraj college Alumni Association. Mr.K.Raja Raman, I.A.S., District Collector, Thoothukudi in the presence of Mr.U.Kanagavel, Secretary, Kamaraj college inaugurated the blood donation camp. 125 blood donors were selected blood. 20 of them were given blood immediately on the day. A team of Doctors from  Tuticorin Government Hospital were invited to test and bleeding.

Free Eye camp

  •  On 1-01-02-2004, Kamaraj college Alumni Association, Annai Jewellers, Tuticorin and Arvind Eye Hospital, Tirunelveli  jointly conducted free eye camp in the premises of Kamaraj College. Over 500 patients were treated for various eye diseases.71 patients required eye operation and were treated in the Arvind Eye Hospital, Tirunelveli. Medicines were given at free of cost. Free optical were also given for poor patients.
  • The inauguration meeting was presided over by Dr. M. sakthivel, Principal, Kamaraj college and the proprietor of palarasam paulraj Annai  Jewellers, Mr.P. Muruganathan welcomed the gathering. Mr. Raja Raman I.A.S., District Collector, Thoothukudi in  the presence of Mr.V.kanagavel, Secretary Kamaraj college, inaugurated the camp. Prof.S. Selvaraj, former principal of Kamaraj college,Mr.jonysan,proprietor Hotel Join, Mr.Sudaliyandi,Mr.K.Patcha, Director,Kapuriyo karate School gave felicitations. Mr.J. Muthumanickam Abraham proposed a vote of thanks. Kamaraj college N.S.S programme officers prof.Jeyaramakrishnaraj, prof.Muralitharan,prof kandasamy and  N.S.S volunteers extended their service for the smooth conduct of the camp. Prof.Dr. M.Sakthivel kamaraj ,principal,Kamaraj college, distributed momentoes to Dr.Rajesh, Arvind Eye Hospital and Dr.Mamtha, Arvind Eye Hospital, Staffs from Arvind Hospital and N.S.S volunteers in the presence of Mr. palarasam palraj Nadar.
Free General medical camp and Cancer screening programme
  •  on 3rd October,2004,Kamaraj college Alumni Association,       Annai Jewellers, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank, Agsar paints private Ltd and Diamond sea food Exports jointly conducted free General Medical camp and cancer screening programme in the premises of Kamaraj college. Over 500 patients were treated for various diseases
  • The inauguration meeting was presided over by Dr.AJ.Balakrishnarao,M.D.(FM), Principal, Thoothukudi Medical college Hospital in the presence of Dr.R.A. Balachandran, president,I.K.A and Thiru. V.kanagavel, secretray, Kamaraj college. Minister Anitha.R.Radhakrishnan inaugurated the Medical camp.

    The Doctors from various fields gave treatment to the patients.

  • A team of doctors from Chithirai Thirunal Hospital, Trivandrum, conducted the Cancer Screening programme.

Personality Development wokshop

  •  On August,23,2006 Kamaraj college Alumni Association, Adhma viswas Charity Trust and Kamaraj college placement cell jointly  conducted workshop on Interview handling techniques and personality Development for Kamaraj college students.
  • The inauguration meeting was presided over by Thiru.C.S Rajendran, secretary in the presence of Prof.S.Stephen Dharmaraj, Principal,Kamaraj College and Thiru.A.Rajkumar,Vice president, KCAA.. Mrs. Ida Sathyanarayan, Director, Adhma Viswas welcomed the gathering. Mr. Niranjan, Director, Turning point Institution, Chennai conducted the workshop. Mrs.Subha mithran, Secretary, Adhama Viswas proposed a vote of thanks.
